Sussex Wedding Photography at The Ravenswood Wedding Venue | Gilly & Den

A while ago, I got to work with the lovely Hannah Larkin Photography as her second shooter for Gilly and Den’s wedding at St Margaret’s Church before their wedding reception at The Ravenswood Wedding Venue in Sussex.

Being a Sussex wedding photographer for the day, I loved venturing around the West Sussex countryside - a refreshing escape from the bustling city and my hometown that is London. To kick things off, we had Gilly and Den’s traditional wedding ceremony at St Margaret’s Church where the lovely couple were surrounded by their friends and family.

We also took this opportunity to have their wedding photographs taken here after the ceremony - St Margaret’s Church has the most incredible church gardens tucked deep into the Church as you carry on venturing. Gilly and Den were absolutely smitten with one another which you can tell in the photographs - as a Sussex wedding photographer, I love this!

Off we went to the Ravenswood Wedding Venue for both the evening reception and for more wedding photographs. As a Sussex wedding photographer - there are never ‘too many’ wedding photography opportunities. The Ravenswood Wedding Venue is a beautiful 15th Century Manor House located in the rolling countryside of Sharpthorne, in the heart of the Ashdown Forest. A truly gorgeous and rustic venue and the perfect backdrop for photographs.

To top off the incredible day, the evening speeches were just amazing and no I’m not biased! Everyone was in fits of laughter, tears and joy, and I loved that I was present to capture this. Check out the rest of the blog to see the images.
